RESOLZA is an old name, reminiscent of the Italian word for razor. The “resolza” from Sardinia, centuries old, is one of the most well-known traditional knives in our country – to this day, it has been the constant companion of the island’s farmers and shepherds in their daily work. It even followed them when they were called to war: chronicles of the Sassari Brigade during the First World War mention the knife as part of the soldiers’ equipment.

Our attempt to revisit this traditional design according to our own standards is a tribute, not to disregard the Sardinian craftsmen still practicing the old methods of knife making and keeping ancestral traditions alive. This RESOLZA maintains the original measurements and proportions, with a 4.8-inch blade, but is produced with the usual high-quality materials and technologies of Extrema Ratio. The handle has been redesigned, while the blade more closely resembles a traditional shape. As an improvement on tradition, we have added a blade locking mechanism.
