For particularly active outdoor enthusiasts, we decided to make the TRI even bushcraftier, tougher, more durable and practical, to further optimize your adventure! It all starts with choosing the blade steel. We chose CPM 3V from Crucible Industries LLC from the USA. This powder metallurgical tool steel (59-61 HRC) is known to be extremely tough, wear and corrosion resistant. Additionally, it has excellent edge retention which, depending on use, is long-lasting. However, 3V steel can rust as it has not been optimized for corrosion resistance. Therefore, this knife must be taken care of to avoid corrosion, although the chromium content is 7%. If the knife becomes dull over time, we recommend sharpening it with diamond stones.
