The Fallkniven A1 exceeds international standards for strength, personal safety capabilities and value for money.<\/p>\n<p>The Fallkniven A1 is a large-sided multi-purpose knife designed for heavy use. The powerful blade is made of extremely hard and resistant <strong>VG10<\/strong> laminated steel and will withstand the stress of intense use. The knife is excellent for cutting and also for finer daily cutting tasks, thanks to the ergonomic handle. The complete spike runs entirely through the handle so you can strike with the end of it without losing your grip. The sturdy black leather sheath allows you to attach the knife to your belt or backpack, and even upside down. The Fallkniven A1 is unaffected by water and works equally well in extreme cold and sweltering heat. Choose between a Zytel sheath or a black leather &#8220;dangler&#8221; sheath with a rotating strap.<\/p>\n<p>Choose a sheath: Zytel or leather The new Zytel sheath with the bidirectional locking mechanism offers a simple, safe and strong combination of qualities that every user will appreciate. The one-handed Zytel sheath is also easy to keep clean. There is also a left-handed version available in both leather (ambidextrous) and Zytel (left-handed). These are sold separately.<\/p>\n<p>A1 <strong>black<\/strong> coating If your needs require that no reflections come from the blade of your knife, we offer a CeraKote black coating option. CeraKote is a tough surface coating that will also protect the blade from corrosion. CeraKote is a hard coating made of Teflon and ceramic that we apply for military users and others who want to avoid shiny blades. However, be aware that although CeraKote is an industry standard, it is also just a finish applied to the metal blade similar to painting a car and will gradually wear off with use. Please note that physical abrasions can scratch the CeraKote coating.
