The steel fire starter has a matching handle and Auermetall flint iron that consistently gives an even shower of sparks regardless of the weather. Sturdy sheath in vegetable-tanned European leather, with drainage hole and fire starter clip. Sleipner premium steel blade from Swedish Uddeholm, which maintains a very sharp edge even during very intense use, such as wood splitting. Scandinavian sharpening, with the properties of steel, makes the knife robust, effective for wood carving and easy to sharpen outdoors.
